Thanks for visiting my School Felt Workshops section.
Book me and your pupils will LOVE learning the ancient skill of making hand-rolled felt. My workshops are challenging, fun, rewarding and suitable for any age. Felt making ties in with the science curriculum, maths and design, not to mention teamwork!
I'm fully insured and CRB checked.
In a day I can offer:
Project 1: FELT SQUARES
(25x25cm) with a theme of your choice (eg self portraits, woodland, space).
I work with around 30 pupils in the morning and 30 pupils in the afternoon. I show them how to make a felt square each. These squares can be collated into a large wallhanging (with tabs) to create a wonderful permanent display in your school. An extra fee is charged for this collating service.
My Day Fee (£275) plus materials (£2.50 per person) travel (40p per mile).
Project 2: LARGE WALLHANGING
(1.5x1m) with a theme of your choice (eg seasons, woodlands, landscapes)
I work with groups of 15 children per wallhanging and I can work with up to 2 groups in a day. The felt ‘paintings’ make a beautiful permanent display for your school hall or a new school building. If I receive the children’s design ideas before hand, I can incorporate these into the design.
My Day Fee (£275) plus materials (£78 per wallhanging) travel (40p per mile).
Do get in touch if you’d like to discuss your requirements. Thank you.
